| Cabinet Office [press release]
Following the recent events in the London and South East, I am pleased to anounce the progress made to counter this alien threat. Generous donations of aid from our NATO allies and the detailed information gained from scientists previously operating in the Brentwood area, has meant a number of counter agents have been developed and are, as I write, being deployed in the nation's defence.
I would like to personally thank the members of the scientific community, police, health services and members of the armed forces for the determination and resolve they have demonstrated so admirably in the current situation.
Indeed it is in particular to the RAF regiment, I would like to add
my sincerest gratitude for my protection and well being in very hazardous conditions.
As this threat is being countered, I would urge you all to look to forward to the rebuilding of the nations capital, its pride, and its future success.
Yours sincerely
Dai Rees
(Acting Prime Minister)
